Hi,

First, this is not a message to complain about norton 360, its obviously not going to identify every single virus ever, but more just me asking for help.

Firefox crashed on me yesterday, and then crashed every time i tried to start it.

Google chrome also would not work.

After alot of searching i found the file responsible in my local appdata, as well as a file in my roaming appdata (in the windows-startup section) and an entry in my registry (HKEY/CURRENTUSER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/RUN)

I have deleted all of these, but when i run MSCONFIG the entry still shows (although disabled). under HKCU/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/RUN.

The entry is in the startup section of msconfig and is disabled at the moment.

Does this mean that the virus is still present on my computer?

If so, is there any way that i can get Norton 360 to help me remove it?
