Just to let you know i purchased a brand new Toshiba Laptop with Windows 7 Home Edition. After the first install procedures are done. I run the Norton Internet Security Trail for a month i think and everything went just fine, the QuickScan, LiveUpdate and the rest of the features worked perfectly. Mind you i did this on the 16th of this month (10 days ago).
We had some problems with the Trail Versions of MS Office so my mum decided to System Restore a couple times. Getting to the point i'm not sure whether that affected Norton in any way? This morning (26th) i was trying to login to Msn and it said that your Firewall is not allowing Msn to access the internet.
Upon reading on the msn help forum, it said you allow msn access to the internet via your Firewall which in this case was Norton. Now when i click on QuickScan or LiveUpdate it comes up with the Unspecified Error. Upon downloading and running the Norton Update Center it said "No Norton product was found..."
I was going to download the Norton Uninstall Program but saw that it was 89MB and I'm on dail-up because i exceeded the download limit. I also tried restarting the Computer but the same error shows up. I am even not able to Uninstall Norton Internet Security using Add and Remove Programs.
Any advice on how to solve this problem would be great.
