I have my computer backed up on Carbonite.  When I buy a new computer and do a restore to transfer all of my backed up information, settings, files, etc., will my Norton Anitvirus be there?  Or, do I need to do something different to get my antivirus on the new computer?

Welcome

Norton will be there. Dropping it on a new drive will cause a few problems. The best recommendation will be to do a control panel uninstall and reinstall it. Then reboot and run live update until the program tells you have all of the updates have been downloaded and installed.

NAV like all security products has lots of places it likes to park to watch over your system. When you restore, even with an image, there will be a few places change. This is why it is best to do a clean install of NAV. A few extra minutes, many fewer problems.
