When you say that NIS 2012 won't let you into the Settings screen, is it because the Settings options is greyed out or is it because you can't open the main NIS 2012 user interface?

It is because there is no settings option no options at all except for Scan Now and Norton File Insight when you right click the desktop icon and if you right click the tray icon it has a small popup about 1/4" square with 4 gray lines and nothing is clickable.

Please run Norton AutoFix to see if it can repair the installation:

• Start > All Programs > Norton Internet Security > Get Support

If Norton AutoFix makes any repairs or identifies any issues that it can't fix, then please copy and paste the results here.

Clicked on the Open Support Web Site and it opens IE and then just stops . Still no Internet
