Count me in dwhanson! Sorry, the withdrawal of my contribution will make a serious dent to Symantec's purse, but I hope it adds up. My decision to change security software is not based on the safe search/ask.com issue alone, but the direction Symantec decided to drive the business lately. I don't want Norton to run anything in the background unnecessarily, like idle scan. I was very disturbed by the PFTS scandal, and sorry, but I am not convinced with the explanation.  I wish there was a way to update my PC with the antivirus data only and never receive an other patch or engine update. At this time my only solution is to switch software and maybe even hardware after more than 10 years years of being a loyal Norton user. Too bad.
