I have the same issue I have a WHS and tried and tried to run iTunes from it but it was dire.MY work round which seems ok is to have the data on my WHS but my itunes file library .itl file on my desktop seems to run great now.

My main issue is I have 400gb of photos (phtographer) and use Lightroom but it does not allow its files to be run on a network.

We have a few of us would like to access LR catalogues from a Network but it does not like it. Was looking for a solution but I gather LR knows about symbolic links ???
