Norton 360 Secure VPN blocks MacBook Pro Apple Mail Xfinity

After weeks of trying to resolve the problem of

Apple Mail Xfinity account:  Unable to access account name or password

I finally figured out that I had to turn off Norton 360 Secure VPN

while on Secure VPN it thought I was in California (not where I'm located)

the Xfinity security saw this and stopped use of my MacBook Pro Apple Mail

Yes, like you, I have to choose between the VPN and receiving email. Yesterday I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a Norton tech, and another 90 minutes on the phone with Xfinity and Apple techs in order to diagnose the issue, and come to the conclusion you reached. Now we wait and hope that Norton will solve the problem, again. My subscription is up for renewal in a few weeks, and although I've been with Norton for nearly 15 years, I am going to switch security providers.
