Nor. Utilities Ultimate won't install on my Acer, win7 celeron

Bottom line ...I try to install Utilities Ultimate......no go ! I'd use Premium if it would work on Win7.Here is my system info:

Norton Utilities only Works in Windows 10 and 11 you need the old Norton Utilities 16 IT Wold Work find on Windows 7

Have you installed the Windows updates for sha 2 code signing as outlined in this thread?    https://community.norton.com/en/forums/sha-2-code-signing-support-window... Although that thread is for Norton 360, it may also apply to Utiltities.

Windows will not let me download Nor Utilities Ultimate because I am using Windows 10 S. It says I need to change to Windows Home. Then Windows warns me that I will lose security and cannot change back to Windows 10 S. It is worth changing to Windows Home?

Windows 10 S mode is the issue as it is very restrictive. You can only run verified applications from the Microsoft store in S mode. The con to getting out of S mode and into Home is you CANNOT revert back once its done. You however cannot install NU in S mode. Going forward the benefits of not being on S mode outweigh the S mode restrictions in my view. The choice to leave S mode is yours of course.

@globus5000 Norton Utilities Ultimate does support Windows 7 SP 1 and higher versions on Windows. Windows 10 and 11 S mode is not supported. .NET version 4.6.2 or later is also required.

yes but not all funktion is going to work in newer then windows 10/11 if you is going to get all funktion to work you need the old Norton Utilities 16

Some of the former functions of older NU have been removed ( de-bloated) specifically because of newer OS's providing the same functions. No longer needed. Any OS that is in S mode is not supported, specific versions of .NET are also required. The OP has a supported CPU, system memory looks ok, as does storage. They haven't verified if the required version of .NET is installed to date.

Norton Utilities 16 is End of Life. As such it cannot be purchased, downloaded, or activated any more. The activation servers have been disabled for the NU16 product. So this is not an option.

you can stil get it but it is hard i has ask norton and he is high rank in norton
