Poor Customer Service

Why is Norton's customer service so poor, and what ways have people used to try and get an issue resolved?

I have had an outstanding case for over two weeks, and each time I contact Norton, they say someone will call me, and yet here I am, with my problem still.

So would appreciate any tips on how I can get them to actually help me.

Re: Poor Customer Service

You have done what you can. There are many reports of promised call backs not being received.

Is there something we can help with here in the forum?

Re: Poor Customer Service

My laptop broke, so I had to get a new one. I tried to retrieve all my data from the Norton cloud, but couldn't. Every time I contact them, they promise a level 2 engineer will contact me, but as yet, I still haven't got my data.

Re: Poor Customer Service

Hopefully, I'm managed to solve the problem. The secret is to not accept it, when they tell you someone will call you within the next 24 hours. I refused to accept that, and told them that I wanted to speak to either an engineer, or customer complaints now.

I was then transferred to an engineer, and finally my data is being downloaded onto my laptop.

I have to say though, Norton customer service is the worse I have ever come across, for actually dealing with a problem.

Re: Poor Customer Service

The automatic renewal took place.
I paid the subscription. The subscription included Norton Utilities.
However, a few days after renewal the Utilities was disabled.
No one at Norton informed me at the time of renewal that the Utilities was going to be withdrawn
I did not have the opportunity to review the subscription in the knowledge of the later withdrawal.
No one at Norton has been able to help me.
I am a loyal Norton customer, but this has been shabby matter

Re: Poor Customer Service

The offer for the 'free' Norton Utilities Premium for having Norton 360 set to auto renew has been withdrawn. So, even though you did allow the auto renewal, the Norton Utilities will no longer function unless you purchase a separate subscription. Unfortunately this has never been officially posted, but it has been noted here a number of times.

Re: Poor Customer Service

I'm also getting the Norton run-a-round with none of their techs being capable of fixing problems or calling back. From what I'm reading it's time to abandon Norton 360 and look for a new brand. Norton 360 has too many quirks and failed to take into account there are many versions of Windows 10 and likely there is already a lot of updating with Windows 11. They've moved away from their core product and tried to add to many components that don't work. Plus I'm running into many "Poser" techs who just want a job. Very disappointed.

Re: Poor Customer Service

I have also received multiple promises of callbacks, NONE of which occurred. TERRIBLE service. I stayed on them though and finally got my case escalated to Level 3. Be persistent!

Re: Poor Customer Service

i ALSO RECEIVED POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  I received another email from Norton about backing up to the cloud!  I tried contacting them and chatting with them.  After the fourth try I did get a person who couldn't understand the problem.  I eventually hung up on them after yelling at them!  The second one sent me to the second level but I got even worse service/help from them!  They closed the chat even though I said that I wasn't satisfied!
