Bullguard still running after migration to Norton

Two days ago Norton 360 was installed on my two computers automatically following the migration from Bullguard.  I now find that I have both programms running alongside each other.  is this acceptable or should i take steps to uninstall Bullguard?

You should never have more than one real time AV product installed. Doing so can cause conflicts and actually reduce your protection.

So, Yes. You need to fully remove your Bullguard.

Others here have reported the same issue with the transition from Bullguard.

they will conflict with each other and may notice issues or slowness etc...

best to remove bullguard , i would run ccleaner ( registry scan for bullguard) and also the tools section run start up scan and programs )

Re: Bullguard still running after migration to Norton

Thanks for the advice.  Interestingly, BullGuard had been removed from my laptop before I had chance to uninstall it after receiving your response.  On the other hand I had to manually uninstall from my desktop.  The email received on 8th November indicated that BullGuard has been upgraded to Norton Go Premium, yet my product is Norton 360 for gamers.  Also the email indicated that nothing needed to be done.  It would have been useful if it had indicated that BullGuard needed to be uninstalled.  Seems to be working ok so far.

Norton has not appeared on my laptop yet. Do I uninstall Bullguard (which is expired) anyway. Will Norton GO appear automatically then?

This Bullguard migration is as new to us as it is to you. I would suggest that you would need to leave the Bullguard installed for the automatic migration.

Is there a manual update feature in Bullguard? If so, try running that to see if it triggers the migration.

How long ago did your Bullguard expire? As it has expired, there is not going to be any free Norton subscription. So you might as well go about researching and purchasing a new security product. Whether it be Norton or some other choice.
