Norton Mobile Security "Netzwerk" ist beeinträchtigt

Wenn mein Samsung S7 sich mit meinem WLAN verbunden hat, erscheint folgende Meldung:

Norton Mobile Security "Netzwerk" ist beeinträchtigt

Ein Angreifer kann auf ihre persönlichen Daten und Übertragungen in diesem Netzwerk zugreifen

Man kann diese Meldung ignorieren, nach einiger Zeit erscheint die Meldung dann wieder.

Ein Tablet mit der gleichen App Norton Mobile Security bringt keine Fehlermeldung.

If my Samsung S7 has connected to my WLAN, the following message appears:

Norton Mobile Security "Network" is compromised

An attacker can access their personal data and transmissions on this network

You can ignore this message, after some time the message appears again.

A tablet with the same app Norton Mobile Security brings no error message.

Norton Mobile Security 4.4.1.4321

Try updating your app. There is a new version 4.4.1.4323 that was released quickly to fix some issues . It may fix your issue too.

Aktualisieren Sie Ihre App. Es gibt eine neue Version 4.4.1.4323, die schnell veröffentlicht wurde, um einige Probleme zu beheben. Es kann auch Ihr Problem beheben.

Today the version 4.4.1.4323 was released and I updated the software to this version.

However there is the same warning message as with the version before.

Überprüfe mal Deinen Router mal auf neue Software und dessen Sicherheitsprotokoll.

I would start by restarting the phone. If the tablet is connected to the same network and the it is not seeing warnings, it does not sound like a router issue. If just restarting the phone does not help, try going into the Norton Mobile Security, NMS app settings. Tap on the 3 bars at the top left of the NMS screen and tap on Settings. Scroll down to the Anti Theft section and turn off the Device Administrator setting.  Now go to Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the NMS app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device and turn the Device Administrator setting back on. This will reset your NMS to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the NMS app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.

Then test to see if things work properly.

Wenn das erneute Starten des Telefons nicht hilft, wechseln Sie zu den Einstellungen der NMS-App von Norton Mobile Security. Tippen Sie oben links im NMS-Bildschirm auf die drei Balken und tippen Sie auf Einstellungen. Scrollen Sie nach unten zum Abschnitt Diebstahlschutz, und deaktivieren Sie die Einstellung Geräteadministrator. Gehen Sie jetzt zu Android-Einstellungen - Apps. Scrollen Sie zur NMS-App und löschen Sie den App-Cache und die App-Daten. Starten Sie das Gerät neu und aktivieren Sie die Einstellung des Geräteadministrators. Dadurch wird Ihre NMS auf eine Testversion zurückgesetzt. Um die Vollversion wiederherzustellen, öffnen Sie die NMS-App, tippen Sie auf die drei Balken oben links und anschließend auf Anmelden. Geben Sie Ihre Norton-Kontoinformationen ein und Sie sollten erneut die Vollversion haben.

Dann testen Sie, ob alles richtig funktioniert.

Thank you for your help.

I did all steps you mentioned without success.

In the meantime I also updated my android tablet which did not show a warning message with NMS version 4.4.0.4302 to version 4.4.1.4323 and now it display a warning too.

I replaced my router with another model and also with this different modem a message is displayed on both the smartphone and the tablet.

What make and model is your tablet?  I am using a Samsung Tab A on Android 8.1.0 and NMS ver 4.4.1.4323 and I do not see any warnings.

And what router models have you tried? 

Welche Marke und Modell ist Ihr Tablet? Ich verwende ein Samsung Tab A für Android 8.1.0 und NMS Version 4.4.1.4323 und sehe keine Warnungen.

Und welche Router-Modelle hast du ausprobiert?

Check naja 's suggestion to see if there is any new firmware for your routers. As they both are the same manufacturer, that could be the common denominator to your issue. The new version of NMS may have updated information on some newly detected threats.

Überprüfen Sie den Vorschlag von naja, um festzustellen, ob neue Firmware für Ihre Router vorhanden ist. I recently updated the firmware of my Zyxel ARMOR Z1 Modell NBG6816 to version V1.00(AAWB.11)C0

Now the warning message does not appear anymore and the status of the WLAN ist OK (green)

Looks like Norton did its job, letting you know to look for an issue with the router firmware.

Well I mean Norton Mobile is not displaying a warning message and is now "green" but I still do not know why there was a warning. If the problem is really fixed with the firmware update or if just Norton Mobile does not find a problem is still not clear. Norton just displays a warning but does not give you any information about the *reason*, they just give you the tip: update your router firmware. The first firmware did not made the warning message disappear, the newest did, but what was the resason?

Check the web site for the router and look for a change log for the new router firmware. There have been different vulnerabilities discovered in routers.
