Norton support for Windows 11

All: I wanted to start this thread EARLY since we are already seeing instances of users not having Norton function correctly with the insider build of Windows 11. Knowing that BETA OS's are not officially supported, and that NEW devices WILL come with W11 pre-installed as of the latest from Microsoft baring another flip-flop on its release RTM. What is the Norton plan for Windows 11 with 360 family? Others will also follow with questions about different products on the appropriate boards I'm sure.  I believe knowing BEFORE vice after W11 RTM, would be advantageous for both the customer as well as those of us here who try to provide answers.

Re: Norton support for Windows 11

I cannot recall a single Windows RTM that Norton did not support from the time of its release.  Obviously Norton engineers would be working closely with Microsoft to make sure that happens with Windows 11.  There's never anything they will say publicly other than that pre-release versions are not officially supported; the reason being that while an OS is still subject to last minute changes, compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

Re: Norton support for Windows 11

Indeed. A simple statement that the current N360 product family will be supported vice a totally NEW offering would suffice. Given the issues with the current OS's being supported, Windows 11 is going to be another headache much as the Big Sur and M1 chip fiasco with MAC. I wouldn't be attempting to run Norton on W11 and won't personally be using W11 for the foreseen future. Just trying to get a leg up for answers we all know are coming.

Re: Norton support for Windows 11

I have been running Windows 11 (Developer version) for a couple of weeks and Norton 360 seems quite happy with it.

Re: Norton support for Windows 11

I am sure that not everything works with new features of windows 11 at this time. E. G. how about Android apps running on Windows 11.  Although its good to hear that is not completely broken by Windows 11.  Hopefully they will have everything supported by release time.
