Hi, i want to restrict youtube and other game usage by my kid, i listed all those sites in blocked category, but unfortunately norton is failing to stop those restricted catogories in app format accessible directly from chrome browser.

Hi Kirankurra,

Can you please check if Norton Family browser extensions are enabled on the Chrome browser. When the browser extension is enabled, YouTube in Chrome's app format gets blocked when it is added to the blocked category or restricted website.

Browser extension is a prerequisite for the product to function completely and should not be removed or disabled. To enable the Norton Family extensions on the supported browsers, follow the steps mentioned in this link - Enable Norton Family browser extension

Hi Abhilash Lakshmanan, obviously NF browser extension will be very easily disabled by my kid / any kid :), is there any other way to stop just like normal website's stopped by NF ? If kids follow our words we dont need any parenting app, Kids will try to fiddle arround that is why we opted NF.

Hi KiranKurra,

Browser extension is a prerequisite for the product to function completely and should not be removed or disabled. User has privileges on the extensions in their computer and cannot be controlled entirely. 
Norton Family also sends out an email when the extension is disabled to have a discussion with your child and re-enable it again.
