Questions about Norton Crypto

Hello all, so I'm a complete noob when it comes to cryptocurrency & I have a few questions regarding the implementation of crypto into Norton.

1. If I choose to mine, will it indeed draw more power & thus increasing my electric bill?

2. Will this method put more wear & tear on my GPU & other hardware?

3. Does my PC need to be completely idle, so it can calculate more efficiently?

It will draw more power. But not sure how much it would affect your electric bill would depend on you rates. On the scale that you are probably mining, you might just break even or you might be losing money.

2. Will this method put more wear & tear on my GPU & other hardware?

There will be increased use of your GPU, and possibly a little use of the hard drive. As long as your GPU and your system has adequate cooling, it should not affect your components.

3. Does my PC need to be completely idle, so it can calculate more efficiently?

While the system is idle it would give more resources to the mining. But it is designed to work in the background, so you can still use your computer for your daily tasks. As it is the GPU being used, it should not affect most day to day use unless you are doing video or photo editing. Or Gaming.

Re: Questions about Norton Crypto

Thank you for your answers. I've been contemplating on using Norton's crypto since I first noticed it & this will help me in deciding.
