norton family instant lock doesn't work

I installed Norton family on my son PC. When i instant lock it, nothing happens. He continues to play without interruption. Please help

Thanks for reaching Norton Family forums.

Could you please check if Norton Family tray icon is available on your child's windows device?
You should see the Norton Family tray icon with a green tick mark on it.

Also please try updating the house rules from Norton Family tray icon by following the below step:
Right Click on "Norton Family" tray icon and choose "Update House Rules".

After this is done, please try initiating instant lock one more time from portal or parent apps.
"Instant lock initiated" pop up should appear on the child's windows device.
