Do I need Norton Security Scan if I already have active subscription with Norton 360?

i recently received some message that my subscription to Norton Security  Scan has ended but i'm still able to use Norton 360 to scan my computer for viruses. i'm a bit confused but i was wondering whether or not that means that my computer is still protected by my Norton antivirus or not or what the end of my subscription means for my laptop's protection since it looks like i'm getting mixed messages here.

Re: Do I need Norton Security Scan if I already have active subscription with Norton 360?

Was this a pop up message, or an email? If a pop up message, open the classic 360 interface by right clicking on the Norton icon in the system tray, and clicking on Open Norton 360. Then click on Help > Subscription Status at the bottom right to have your product sync with the Norton Subscription servers. If an email, it might just be a scammer trying to get you to click on links in the email. Check the sender's address against the  information here.  Is this email from Norton legitimate?

When does your current subscription expire?

@wrm1

Looking back on this thread, have you checked in Windows Settings > Apps to see if there is an entry for Norton Security Scan? If so, this sounds like a remnant of an old Norton reinstall that used to offer this app so you would at least have some security on your computer. If you do see this app, please uninstall it. It is not connected to your 360 product and will not affect your current protection.
