I cannot get into password manager for a year now. It won't accept my password.

I cannot get into password manager for a year now. It won't accept my password. My password is written down, so I know it is the right one. I've read on here to delete the vault and start again. How do I do that?

Do you know your vault password?
Do you see 'Open vault'?
Do you see 'Sign out'?

Note: Please reinstall Norton Password Manager extension.
Note: Please try vault password with VPN off.
Note: Please try vault password from another browser.
Note: Please try vault password from another device.
Note: Please try vault password from Norton Password Manager website.

Norton Password Manager.
To use Password Manager, you will need to create a vault. The vault requires its own password. We do not store or keep your vault password so if you lose your vault password, we cannot recover it for you. It is your sole responsibility to remember and keep your vault password. You may then use your vault to store your logins, passwords and login URL’s for other sites you access and use.

Note: If you previously set up Mobile Unlock feature for your vault...you may be able to use that to unlock your vault.

Set up Mobile Unlock for Norton Password Manager
The Mobile Unlock feature lets you unlock your Password Manager vault using a desktop browser by approving a notification on your mobile device. Each time you launch your desktop browser with the Norton Password Manager extension installed, a vault unlock request notification is automatically sent to your registered mobile device. Once you approve the unlock request on the mobile device, your vault automatically unlocks in the browser.

To know more about the Mobile Unlock feature in Norton Password Manager, see Learn more about Mobile Unlock in Norton Password Manager

If you have forgotten your vault password, you can reset it from your Norton Password Manager mobile app. To know more on how to reset the vault password, see Reset vault password of Norton Password Manager from your mobile device

  • Do not know your vault password?
  • Do you want to delete your vault and start over ... using your same Norton account Sign In?

Note: When you delete a vault, all data stored in the vault is permanently removed.

If you want to delete your vault.  Please try "fake different password 3 times".
for example: 123 + Enter, 456 + Enter, 789 + Enter

Note: When you delete a vault, all of the Password Manager data that are stored in the vault is permanently removed.  If you think that you may use your vault data at a later time, do not delete your vault.

Re: I cannot get into password manager for a year now. It won't accept my password.

Norton Password Manager cloud vault does not require Norton product subscription.
Norton account does not require Norton product subscription.

You may create one cloud vault for each Norton account.
You may create new Norton account/s for other user/s.

Norton Password Manager lets you create a cloud vault and save your Norton Password Manager data.
You can create one cloud vault for each Norton account.

To set up Norton Password Manager, each user should have a Norton account and an online vault.
If the user has an existing Norton account, it can be used to create the online vault.
If not, you can create new Norton accounts for other users.
