Info needed for novice VPN users.

With VPN on I was unable to use my wifi printer, with Ad Tracker Blocking on I was totally unable to use my Aol account. All I got were "guce. advertising" redirects.
Is it beyond the wit of Norton to point out the consequences of using VPN controls and put an idiots guide in the settings explaining the posible ill effects of using these settings by the ill informed.
I had'nt had access Aol mail on my laptop for months until I turned off "Ad Tracker Blocking".
