Android version of NPM crashes every time a link is clicked

Logged into the Vault and, using the built-in browser, the Android version of NPM crashes every time a link, e.g. in an e- mail, is clicked. Is this a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra issue or, does it also affect other Android units? Moreover, as this error has been ongoing for a long time now, are the NPM developers aware of the issue and, can we expect an update that fixes the problem?

App Crash issue is fixed in our latest App version 7.5.2.2676

NPWM is working great on Android 12, Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 3 5G my side. Links open as they should from messages and browser. IMA, I don't use the default browser installed but rather use Opera GX for mobile. All extensions are from the Chrome extension store.

Have you installed and told the device to use another browser other than the default one that came in Android?

Yes, I have another web-browser set as standard. Other Android apps opens the standard browser but, not from within the NPWM vault. Furthermore, using the vault's browser, it is impossible to save bookmarks- net::ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED.

When you open the PWM app on your Android device do you see the following shown in my screenshot?

Click "settings" and look for the "make default browser" check-box on the right. If its checked uncheck it. Lets see if that makes any difference.

B.t.w. there is a method that circumvents the problem. If I make a longer "tap", a pop-up shows and, if "Open a new page" is choosen, there is no app-crash.

There may be a "draw over other apps" issue on the device. I've seen that appear a few times on my Z-fold. Android 12. I've made Opera GX ( my personal choice) my browser of use and don't see the issues. The default Samsung trash has caused issue early on in setup of this device when new. I avoid Samsung and Google defaults at all costs.

Did You inactivate and/or uninstall the Google and Samsung stuff? Off topic but, maybe relevant - the TORBrowser renders gibberish text/characters or just white/ black pages (a problem, related to Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and, discussed in many i-net forums lately). With Your setup, have You tested TORBrowser on Your device?

No I haven't tested the TOR browser on my device. The default Internet widget that came installed is also still there but has been deactivated in settings. Maybe not related but I don't have a Samsung account established either. By chance, are you also using a VPN while using the PWM?

Yes, I have VPNs installed. But, using e.g. the Norton VPNs (both the app and 360's built-in), did not remedy the error. I wrote _did_ , because just a minute ago I had NPWM updated and, "clicking" the e-mail link opened the forum page - No app crash! So, apparently - the issue is fixed.

Thanks for the post back. I was suggestive that using a VPN with PWM might be causing the issue. Glad all is back to functional again for you.
