My Norton Downloader

I am running Windows 11 and have had Norton 360 installed and working for 4 - 5 months. I recently discovered that for whatever reason it was no longer running. I tried re-installing with no success. I have un-installed and rebooted also with no success. I have manually removed Norton folders located in "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" and attempted a re-install all with no success. The install process gets to a certain point and then hangs. It never progresses any farther no matter how long I let it sit. Please see the attached file below.

Hello Rusty. Use the R&R tool to remove your Norton product, follow the instructions in the article below. Take note of step #5, my suggestion is to perform a "removal only" scenario and restart the machine. Once rebooted you can download your product again from your Norton account.

Do one of the following depending on your situation:

  • To uninstall and reinstall your Norton device security product, click Remove & Reinstall.

  • To only remove your Norton device security product, click Advanced Options and then click Remove Only.
