How to get rid of backup on local disk drive?

So, I ran an experiment running backup on my local disk drive, but I don't know how to get rid of it? Any ideas?

~ as test:

Delete backup set and file from local backup ›

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton product main window, double-click Backup, and then click Backup Sets.

  3. In the Backup Settings window, in the Backup Set drop-down list, select the backup set that you want to delete.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. In the Delete Backup Set window, do one of the following:

    • To delete the current backup set, select Delete backup set.

    • To delete the current backup set and purge the files already backed up, select Delete backup set and files.

  6. Click Yes.

Delete backup set...think backup settings/instructions - think What | Where | When
- what files to back up, where you want them backed up, and when you want the backup to run -
Delete backup set and files...think backup settings/instructions and the files already backed up with those backup settings/instructions.

Note: You can delete a backup set if it is no longer needed. You cannot delete a backup set if only one backup set is available. However, you can create a new backup set before you delete the old backup set.

Maybe, you're trying to delete the N360_BACKUP folder created on your ext drive?

after Delete backup sets and files > right click N360_BACKUP folder > Remove access > Stop sharing

then the created N360_Backup folder will delete to your Recycle Bin.

What if I accidentally said "delete backup set" instead? Is there anyway I can claim back that backup set onto my Norton program?

I'm thinking...no.   I'm thinking Delete means delete.
However, you can create a new backup set with the same (if you recall) What | Where | When.

Delete backup set...think backup settings/instructions - think What | Where | When
- what files to back up, where you want them backed up, and when you want the backup to run -
Delete backup set and files...think backup settings/instructions and the files already backed up with those backup settings/instructions.
