NPM for Android login form

Upon lgoin into the NPM on Android a user is required to enter the code from the Microsoft authenticator, but to do that a user has to minimize the app and then copy the code from the authenticator app, but when the user gets back to the NPM the login form has already been reset. Now fortunately for me I'm an owner of a phone that allows to circumvent that issue, but please inform me what id*ot works in quality control that doesn't check use cases like this?

It's same on iOS. I agree that it is not user friendly at all. Devs should do their homework far better.

Re: NPM for Android login form

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this at our end. We tried setting 2FA for our Norton Account and then logged in to Norton Password Manager App(both Android and iOS) by entering the Norton Account username and password which would then ask for the 2FA credentials. At this stage, we are able to switch to the Authenticator App and switch back to Norton Password Manager without losing the session in Norton Password Manager.

Can you please let us know if we are missing something here?

Thanks.

Re: NPM for Android login form

I can't speak for Android but on iOS the problem is that you need to be pretty fast in switching to the MS authenticator to get and remember code and then returning back to NPM because that code is valid for 30 secs, then it changes for next one. It should work like MS apps, i.e. as soon as NPM asks for the authentication, it should trigger the MS authenticator to let confirm there the credentials. Afterwards it should automatically switch you back to NPM where you should be finally logged in.
