auto protect

The icon in the tray for Norton has changed from yellow to gray.  When you right click on the Norton icon, the ability to disable Norton Auto Protect is now grayed out.  Why has it changed?

Re: auto protect

You may also benefit from a system restart. The greyed icon can indicate that there is a pending remediation that needs a restart. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
