I have followed the instructions for 2 days now on my iphone and ipad but it isn't updating the information in my account and I keep getting messages that my subscription is expiring!!

Re: installing new key

Your image shows way too much personal information for an open forum. I have asked it be removed.

Here is an edited copy.

If the left side is what you are currently seeing on your phone, it shows your subscription is active, so that device is protected. If you tap on the three dots to the right of My Account, does it show the email address used for your Norton Account? If so, it still looks like your 360 has picked up the new subscription.

Where are you seeing Expired? If you are seeing it on the Devices page of your Norton Account, that is notorious for being incorrect. Maybe what you need to do is look at those 'Expired' entries and delete them from that Devices page. That may force the iOS versions to have you sign into your account again to activate on the new subscription.

From the image here of your Norton Account Subscriptions, tap on Manage Licenses to see a list that will always be correct.

I cannot explain why the centre section of your image is showing 2 activations and your device is showing 6. Maybe after you delete the 'Expired' entries, the new ones will get updated.

Re: installing new key

Can you clarify what instructions you are following for the iOS devices?  There is no way to enter a product key into mobile devices.

I believe you need to allow the old subscription to expire. Then you should be able to sign into your Norton Account and it will pick up the new subscription.

Re: installing new key

Thank you so much for your reply.  After using the download link supplied after installing on our laptops, I attempted to use that same link on the iPad and iPhone with no luck.  Then I started troubleshooting and found this information on the website and attempted their instructions.  Here is a copy of what I followed.

Thank you for your advice and assistance.

Re: installing new key

If you are using the same email to try to install on multiple devices, that could be your problem. Each email is only good for installing on one device. You need to send separate email invites for each device.

Re: installing new key

Thanks. Do you mean I have to use different email addresses or just send a new request to the same address? I tried requesting a link and used that, but ended up in the same place. I also tried the QR code on the iPhone with the same results. In all of the years I've been doing this, I've never had trouble. This is extremely frustrating! Thanks for your support.

Re: installing new key

You can still sent the invitation to the same address multiple times. Just be sure you only install one time from each email. Be sure you delete it after installation so there is no confusion.

Re: installing new key

Thanks, I tried that ... I also tried using a link and a text for the iPhone ... same results ... could there be something in security to be blocking the new installations?  I'm really concerned about our iPhones and my iPad not being protected as of Monday ... thanks ... k

P.S.  one suggestion that appeared is to download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool ... maybe I should wait until Monday when the old subscription expires to see if the renewal shows up?  thanks, k

Re: installing new key

There is no Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool for mobile devices.

As I suggested above, I think that you will have to wait until your subscription expires and see what message you might see. Then sign into your Norton Account again and it should pick up the new subscription.

Re: installing new key

I still cannot update my account on my iphone and ipad!! they show "expired" but no option to enter the new key, only purchase options!! I read a post where someone was having a similar problem and they disabled the VPN and the update continued, but that didn't work for me ... I have many, many years of service with very few problems, but this has been ongoing for a ridiculous amount of time with no solution, and is totally unacceptable! can someone please, please help?

Re: installing new key

Thank you so much for cleaning up the PDF and removing the personal information ... I didn't think about that ... shame on me! The account information showing active is from the subscription that expired and the one showing 2 devices is the new one installed on our laptops ... so I'll go back to the devices info and delete the expired ones as you suggested ... wish me luck! Thanks again for your support, advice and information. k
