I thought Apps from the App Store were supposed to be safe so why is Norton advising me not to use the Crossword Redstone app?

Goggle app protection on the store should be screening apps BEFORE they are downloaded. That is the reason you're seeing that notification. FWIW!! I looked up the app within the store, and have play store protect active on my mobile device. The app in question isn't being initially scanned by play protect for whatever reason. On the third attempt I got the alert as shown below in my screenshot. Is this what you are seeing or something similar?

The only warning I got from Norton for this app was that it seems to have high battery usage. They are not saying not to use it. Just letting you know that your battery may drain faster than you are used to.
