How to turn off or cancel Cloud Backup

Cloud Backup (along with other) pop ups are driving me insane. I don't recall ever signing up for Cloud Backup. Maybe I did. But apparently I have filled up 100 GB and I am nagged ENDLESSLY all day every day by pop ups telling me I need to increase my storage capacity. I have another cloud back up service and I don't even need Norton Cloud Backup. I just want to turn it off or cancel it, but Norton has gotten so insanely complicated in recent years, that I literally cannot figure out if I am paying for Cloud Storage (and for that matter, even how much I'm paying for virus protection is a secret) and if so, how much, and I see no way to turn it off or cancel it. I tried using the Chat help desk, but of course that is broken. I clicked on the Chat button, and exactly nothing happens.

Norton 360 Premium includes 100GB Cloud Backup

Fix problems with storage space in Cloud Backup
This problem occurs if you have fully used your online storage or if you do not have enough space for your online backups.
You can either,

  • Upgrade to the next higher plan to get more storage. Visit the Norton website to know more about the features and benefits that are offered with our other plans. For assistance, contact Member Services and Support (or)

  • Remove the previously backed-up files and free up some space

You can delete a backup set if it is no longer needed. You cannot delete a backup set if only one backup set is available. However, you can create a new backup set before you delete the old backup set.

TURN Off NORTON BACKUP

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton product main window, click Settings.

  3. In the Settings window, click Backup Settings.

  4. In the Backup Settings window, in the Backup row, slide the switch to Off.

If you turn the switch off, you cannot perform any backup tasks from the Norton product.

Re: How to turn off or cancel Cloud Backup

Dude, just cancel the service. They were hacked a couple years back and that’s why everything is so complicated and confusing, plus they can nickel and dime people more. I would check out other parts of this forum, especially about what people say about getting this company to stop taking money out, after it’s been cancelled as well as not getting the refund they are entitled to, and how they show you are in a “chat session”, but your really not with a live person, it’s a chat bot. I hope this helps you out, don’t wind up like I did!
