Norton 360 Blocks Web Site Login

Within the last two weeks, something has changed in Norton 360 that results in my inability to log into a paid service I use (SurveyMonkey).  I have used this service for many years, with no problems, but about two weeks ago I lost the ability to log into the site.  I have turned off Auto Protect and Firewall- still cannot log into site.  I have white-listed the domains that SM provided, turned off all traffic blocks, and tried multiple browsers- still cannot log in.  I uninstalled N360 and rebooted my PC, and I was able to log into the site without any problem.

I have run out of things that I can do to allow access to the web site (I can get to the site itself, but when I enter my password to log in, I get a connection error message generated by the site).  Technical service at SurveyMonkey has been less than helpful.  Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Re: Norton 360 Blocks Web Site Login

Are you using the VPN feature in 360?  Many web sites do not allow access from known VPN IP addresses. They do this for copyright, legal, security, and political reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can or should do to circumvent these legal protections. See this How to Geeks article.   https://www.howtogeek.com/403771/why-do-some-websites-block-vpns/

Sorry- meant to include that... I use a VPN (not Norton), and I've been unable to access the web site with the VPN on or off.

Re: Norton 360 Blocks Web Site Login

With all the features you say you have disabled, if you still cannot log into that site, it sounds like there is some issue with that site. Even if they deny it.

Have you tried another browser to see if it is a browser related issue?
