Brave browser labelled EOL in Software updater

Hi, the Software Updater scanner labelled Brave Browser as End-of-Life software that shall not be used anymore.

The number of the version installed is identical to the latest Brave version found by the Updater.

What are the criteria for this label to be assigned? How can I get rid of it?

Thanks!!! Petr

Re: Brave browser labelled EOL in Software updater

There are a lot of posts on false warnings by the Software Updater feature. Some of us here feel it is not ready for prime time yet. Best to turn the feature off and take care of software updates manually.

I would like to suggest you to please download this browser from Microsoft app store then try running software updater.

Re: Brave browser labelled EOL in Software updater

Software updater is NOT a matured feature of Norton yet always prone to false indications as peterweb posted. If the OP installed from the MS store SU would then have no reason to be ran as they will have the latest version installed. Most likely be given the same results.

Conversely. You can check for Brave having an update available as shown in this article ( Chrome is shown in the screenshot )
