Norton Chrome Browser - Password manager "Pin Extension" issue

Downloaded the new Norton Chrome browser and went through the process of setting up the extensions but have come unstuck at the end of enabling the Password manager extension...

There are 4 stages:

  • Norton Account
  • Vault Setup
  • Set as default
  • Pin Extension

It's at the "Pin Extension" stage that things get stuck. It shows you graphically how to pin the extension to the chrome extensions bar but there is no way out of this setup page once you've pinned the extension as suggested.

Every time I click on the PM extension icon I just get the setup page!?!?!?

Password manager is unlocked and works to provide passwords to websites in other Norton Chrome browser windows as expected but I can't open the Vault itself or see the extension's list of logins.

This is sooooo frustrating and is forcing me back to Chrome and Edge instead of using the Norton Chrome browser.

Hmm, Norton Password Manager extension was Pre-installed by Norton and pin'd okay, my side. 
fwiw ~  I pin'd Norton Password Manager from puzzle piece before accessing vault.

When I got to step 4. Pin the Extension it was already pinned and no matter whether I unpin and repin or unpin-exit-restart browser-repin... whenever I click the PM extension icon it takes me back to the pin extension screen...

Try uninstalling the extension, restart your computer and the try the installation again. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature..
