Auto Text App on Google Play FLAGGED: MALWARE! (Had it and Norton for Years)

Guys, I've had this app on my phone for years. It says since 2020.  I love this app. I can schedule text messages and they keep adding more features. Norton never flagged this app until i did an update a few moments ago. Now it says I should uninstall the app. Is this a false flag? It doesn't say why it is flagged other than that is malware.

I contacted the developers as well but I don't know what that will do. Maybe they can work it out. But I don't know if I can trust them. 

I've attached a picture of the message i received. I also don't see any alternative or good alternatives to this app. I'm open to suggestions.

What does Norton tell you when you tap on Learn More in the warning message?

Your thread title mentions Google Play. Is the message coming up in the Play Store app?

What device and Android version are you using?
