Norton AntiTrack Activation

I have Norton AntiTrack installed and running on my computer, but when I go into my account it states "Setup Required". I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. Norton Support was unable to resolve it. Should I just ignore it?

Note: Norton AntiTrack in Firefox is still being shown quite frequently as "Unprotected" and I have to go through the process of protecting it. Edge and Chrome are stable and show as "Protected" all of the time. I have posted this question about Fifefox a couple of times, but no one knows why it is happening.

Edition    Windows 10 Pro
Version    22H2
Installed on    ‎11/‎18/‎2020
OS build    19045.3324
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0

I re-posted this question a few minutes ago, but the system said I I was not authorized. Apparantly it posted. This is the proper post. The post that states "Norton AntiTrack" can be ignored.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Activation

The AntiTrack extension is installed on all 3 browsers. It is only the Firefox AntiTrack extension that has to be re-activated at least 2 or 3 times a day. Like I said before, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the AntiTrack program several times.

The Doc1.pdf file I am posting is as of now and shows all browsers protected. If I open it later in the day it may show "Protected" or "Not protected". That is the inconsistency that I am posting about.

See my older post: Why does Norton AntiTrack keeps unenabling Firefox?

Re: Norton AntiTrack Activation

Maybe, Firefox built-in tracking protection [here] is bumping into Norton AntiTrack?
Have you tried disabling Firefox built-in tracking protection?

Maybe, Norton AntiTrack requires Norton cookie?
Maybe, something is removing Norton cookie?

Maybe, you need to allow all Norton content in order to provide the best experience possible.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Activation

Seems to work OK when it's running, however, it stops without warning and I have to re-enable it. Has happened multiple times. Unlikely to pay to have it installed permanently

This extension worked great until the latest updates now it keeps asking me to sign in to the anti-track app which I stay signed into. ONLY ON FIREFOX

It stops working without warning. I get a message saying sign into the program, but there is no sign in. When I check the app, it will show it is not enabled on Firefox, which is what I use. I have to try and try to get it re-enabled. When it works, it is ok, but it stops working without warning.

Norton Anti-track is the worst piece of software I have ever tried to work with. It has to be reinstalled every time I restart my computer, in other words, every day! So not worth the money for it. It does work when it works...but it is also a high maintenance program.

Caveat: I do not run Norton AntiTrack.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Activation

bjm,

You may be onto something about the Firefox built-in tracking protection. Firefox just updated and my Firefox Norton AntiTrack protection went to unprotected. I will send a series of screen shots to show the progression after Firefox updated and my steps in restoring the Firefox Norton AntiTrack protection. I left the Firefox update icon on the screenshot.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Activation

I need to reinstall antitracking to the chrome extension - where can I find the steps for this process - it is a repeated issue all too many times - also on MS/Excel  - I would like to know how I can reinstall and not have to contact support all the time.
