Put [Norton] LiveUpdate back in so the product knows you're doing a Manual one to delay Tasks from Running, which will prevent them from being Cancelled and therefore, will avoid making those Cancelled Tasks fro Not Running.

I must strongly disagree with this suggestion. The "old" Live Update component and the associated LUCOMS processes were resource killers. The current streamlined method of update delivery was a stroke of genius and a welcome addition. It does not interfere with any of my work as did "Live Update".

Please don't change anything in this area. I like the fact that Norton takes care of everything in the background while I go about other tasks undisturbed.

I agree with Phil_D and I have never had this cancel anything that was running; scans or otherwise.

I don't even understand what the OP wanted to say. If Phil_D correctly interpreted the meaning behind this crpytic idea, I'm totally against it.

There seems to be some confusion here; am talking about puting the "LiveUpdate" Background Task in so the Prouct knows when one is doing a Manual Norton LiveUpdate.
