Norton DNS 1.5 beta now has web filtering

We’re excited to share with you that we have reached another major milestone with Norton DNS. As mentioned in a recent press release update on our Norton Everywhere initiative, we’ve just opened BETA testing of our new Web Content Filtering service within Norton DNS!

This new functionality means that we have extended Norton DNS protection beyond malicious and phishing sites to provide content filtering capability for over 55 million sites, in more than 23 different languages. Users of this new Norton DNS 1.5 beta with Web Content Filtering (BETA) service will be able to create their own custom Web content filtering policy, choosing from over 40 different content categories.

This release includes a redesigned NortonDNS.com Web site that allows users to select whether they want malicious site blocking or to extend protection to filter unwanted content.

To test drive this new service, please visit http://www.nortondns.com, choose the “Web Content Filtering” option. There are 3 broad steps to configure the “Web content filtering” service on your PC.

Step 1: Sign-in using your existing Norton Account. (Or sign-up for a new Norton Account)

Step 2: Set up your custom Content Filtering policy

Step 3:  Install a Norton DNS PC client software (You will need to uninstall any previous DNS client software on your PC)

Please check it out and email us your feedback/questions on this new BETA service at nortondns@symantec.com

Please note: “Web content filtering” BETA client is not yet available for Mac users.

That's not true, it can miscategorize good websites in being bad ones. Please KhanhT, update the Norton DNS product because in Normal mode, I can't configure it nor if I want to uninstall it, it won't allow that. And again, correct the issue of categorizing websites before it becomes a major issue.
