Norton Online Backup - general info

I am a long time Norton Antivirus user, but I'm new to Norton Online Backup. Can anyone provide answers to the following questions?

1. Does Norton Online Backup keep more than one version of a given file? If so, how do you view them for purge or restore?

2. It looks like the log just says how many files were scanned and the total online storage space. Many backup programs have logs that list which files needed to be backup up. Is that available?

3. Is there a way to get a listing of all backed-up files with date?

--- Thanks, Mike

Re: Norton Online Backup - general info

Hi mjh,

Yes, NOBU does keep an archive of versions that are less than 90 days old, and then keeping only the latest version if there are no changes in the last 90 days.  This functionality isn't the easiest to find, but it's great to have when you need it.

When you do an Action for Restore or Download, etc., and then do a SEARCH for a file.  One you locate your file name, click on Details to the far right for your file, and NOBU will have a link that you should click to Show History which should then give you a drop-down selection of the saved versions of that file by date/time of the backup job.  Obviously NOBU will only be able to show you the changes by version of the successful backups of that particular file, which is generally once per day unless you were kicking off manual backups in addition to your scheduled backups.
