Norton Security and Backup says Norton Security has detected 106 installed Programs. Is there a way to make that message go away.
Where are you seeing this message? Is it after a scan of your system?

Did you choose the scan option to 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors?'
Vitalik93 I think your right this only poped up after I did a refresh of the system. Do you know of a way to make Norton think this is ok.
Please update Norton Removal Tool, fix it or do something,
i try to uninstall Norton Security v22.11 and he dont want to uninstall,
then i try to use Norton Removal Tool but i see this - "uninstaller expired",
also try NRT in safe mode but i have the same problem ("uninstaller expired"),
last update of Norton Removal Tool was in January 2017.
Are you downloading a fresh copy of the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool from www.norton.com/nrnr
If you are using a previously downloaded copy it may give the errors you are seeing. Especially for the NRT. It has been replaced by the NRNR tool that has an advanced option to Remove Only.
I turned off Auto Protect to install a prog .exe that I know is safe. Now it will not turn it back on and the little white notification box will not keep flipping on and off. Can you help?
Did you restart your computer after installing your program?
yes I did and even after shutting down overnight it is still gives me that white notification screen saying that I turned off Auto Protect. I clicked on the fix now, but it still comes up...arrrgh!!...:)
If you are using Win 8 or 10, and you have the Fast Startup feature turned on, your shutting down at night and starting up again does not get you a complete system shutdown that is required to update any running system files. Choosing Restart will get the full shutdown.
If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.
