He's a true genius, Krusty13.
But my brain still can't around the stars. Light from the North Star takes 680 years to reach us, well according to this http://www.spacetoday.org/Questions/StarlightAge.html so what we see is 680 years old.
And this is where my brain struggles - we're looking at history in that the North Star might have imploded 80 years ago and we won't see it's missing in the sky for another 600 years! That's enough thinking for me - my brain hurts.
"Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy."

Generally speaking, I came to this website seeking Knowledge and Information, from those who already possess both, and likely, more so than I.
But in THIS particular Forum-Group Arena, I have instead found an exorbitant degree of not only Wisdom, but also Wisdom's own offspring, commonly known as Inspiration.
Similarly, from people who possessed more of both than I. But in the resharing of that by all you Member-Repliers, I can now claim more Inspiration to be "mine", as well.
So my own "Quotable Quote" is applicable to all you Forum-Members. Unfortunately, from deficient memory, I can't recall the author, and can only paraphrase it:
"Oftentimes, the greatest gifts are given by those who weren't even aware that they WERE Gifting others".
Oh How Inspiring. Kudos and Thanks to All. The content here is "Proverbially Worth It's Weight In Gold!"
Even more so than than the "Techno-Geek Stuff" is, to those who came to the overall site in need of seeking some help of THAT type & nature.
The true value is, I think, that this content is not only Inspiring, but is also very, very Refreshing.
Just like the "Daily Shower" that one of the quotes made a metaphorical reference to.
Hope I don't sound excess "mushy" . . . I'm just Appreciative, is all.
So, again, kudos, plaudits, thanks and God Bless you all. :)
Three things cannot be long hidden: The Sun, the Moon and the Truth.
You talk of times of peace for all, and then prepare for war.

Midnight Oil - Blossom & Blood
You, the mothers who sent your sons
Wipe away your tears
For those who fought and those who fell
Become our sons as well You the warriors with your words
Throw away your spears
You talk of times of peace for all
And then prepare for war All the people with dreams, all mothers with sons
All people with dreams never woken at night by the sound of guns
Like a child that's born on a moonless night
Like a child that's born, we parachute down to an unknown fight This city of blossom and blood
This city suffered more than it should
These sidewalk silhouettes
Not washed away, not washed away Whatever you've done
Whatever you've done
Whatever you've done There's a hope in the heart says never again
Whatever you say, whatever you say, whatever you say
It's the price of peace to remember that day

"I can control my destiny, but not my fate. Destiny means there are opportunities to turn right or left, but fate is a one-way street. I believe we all have the choice as to whether we fulfil our destiny, but our fate is sealed."

This is one of the best quotes I have heard:
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.

Another favorite is:
And then a man stepped from the group of villagers and asked the Prophet, “In these troubled times, what should we be most wary of?”
The Prophet said, “Beware the opportune tragedy. The Reichstag. The Gulf of Tonkin. The Archduke. For this will surely portend the end of your freedom, as well as the Bill Maher show. Now that I think of it, Oliver and Bee are also toast.”
Then a young woman approached the Prophet. She looked up at his not-half-bad-looking-for-a-man-his-age face and asked, “Why do men seek to possess and control my body?”
To this the Prophet said, “Men covet the divine. And what is more transcendent than the power to create life. To have power over a woman’s body is their misguided attempt to have power over god. To be god. With this in mind, keep an eye out for the man who builds golden temples so people may worship him. Having a Canadian passport is also not a bad idea.”
