"Remove Backup Job" is greyed out in Ghost 15 for one of my drive backup's, so I'm unable cancel it and create a new one with different options.
Any suggestions, please?

I use Win7/64 Home Premium.
For images (Recovery Points)... search in C:\ProgramData\Norton\Norton Ghost\Schedule for *.pqj files. They are not very intuitive with the file names. Open them with notepad and look for the text "DisplayName". You should see the name of the Backup.
You may have to stop the Norton Ghost service first.

I've found C:\ProgramData\Norton but no \NortonGhost\Schedule.
In C:\ProgramData\Norton are several files with long numeric names and several text documents many years old.
I've also done a search for *.pqj but no results.
What is the file extension for those long numeric names?
There doesn't seem to be a file extension for those, but more importantly I've now found the .pqj files under:
There are five files corresponding to the five back-up jobs I've set up and I've identified the one which I wish to remove.
Do I delete this file, please, or is it not that simple?
You opened the file with notepad and read it's "DisplayName" description? Check the last modified date. How does it compare to the others? If it is indeed the old orphaned file, you should be able to delete it.
Unfortunately it's the one I set up yesterday (along with the other four) rather than a previous one which I want to remove.
What type of backup is it? Recovery Point or File and Folder?
I normally back up each drive (actually partition) with a base on 1st January and then add increments weekly.
I was able to do this with four drives but the fifth (Drive D) wont let me do this, saying that the drive is already backed up elsewhere (it isn't).
That's when I noticed that Remove Back up Job associated with Drive D is greyed out.
The system will only allow me to make an independent back up of Drive D.
Everything has worked perfectly for the last 5 years on 1st Jan until now!
Can you look at the properties of the backup job? Is there an external HDD that is not connected? How about going to Tasks > Manage backup destination... and delete the recovery points there? I'm not sure what else to try other than nuke all .pqj files and start fresh. Maybe even uninstall / reinstall.

Like you, I have a feeling I'll end up removing/re-installing Ghost.
Good job I kept the disk and product key!
Finally had to give up investigating and re-installed Ghost.
(Even a last ditch "repair" was unsuccessful.)
Shame, as we'll never know exactly what was wrong.
