Norton Utilities Premium

I've had a look at Norton Utilities Premium which optimizes performance. Looks impressive. However I've been using CCleaner Professional for a few years. Anyone know which of the two is the better product at managing PC health?

Just a thought, if you are running Windows 10, you do not need anything. In fact, Windows 10 for Dummies says that optimizing and file clean ups can do more harm than good.

Re: Norton Utilities Premium

Hello Stuart. If you are running Windows 10 there isn't a real need for either programs. Windows 10 does an excellent job of keeping junk system files cleaned out as well as maintaining the system registry and hard drive fragmentation. Some swear by NU and other programs, I personally don't recommend either. That being said, answering your question NU would be a better choice since its a complete suite already optimized.

Now that I've got an activated copy of NU Premium.  It does have more than just file removal capabilities, but is it worth the price?  Not sure about that.  I haven't uninstalled CCleaner free version anyway.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Hey thanks for your reply. I wasn't aware of Windows 10 doing an even better job so that's very helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I'm in the same boat as you - not sure if it's worth the cost. Windows 10 does an even better job so I'm told.

Re: Norton Utilities Premium

I’m wondering if someone could post some screenshots of the new NU? I’m curious what the differences with the old version are but a free trial doesn’t seem to be available.

Re: Norton Utilities Premium

No free trials. But Norton does have a 60 day money back guarantee on their products.

Here are some screenshots for you.

Re: Norton Utilities Premium

Norton Utilities Premium is nothing more than a re-badged Iolo System Mechanic.  It looks the same but doesn't have all the same features of System Mechanic.
