Norton 360 doesn't work with Catalina (macOS 10.15)
Norton 360 is causing my 2019 MacBook Pro to reboot on startup. When I start the computer, the progress bar hangs at about 60% and slowly creeps to about 90% over the next two minutes, at which point the computer restarts. Typically, on the second restart, the computer eventually starts. However, it then takes about a minute or more for Norton 360 to start, during which time I cannot do much of anything. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Norton Support -- clueless as how to fix. They did all the same things that I'd already done -- uninstall and reinstall Norton, etc., while ignoring the log file generated by the boot fail. The log indicates a panic caused by "watchdog timeout"; a copy is attached. My guess is some serious reprogramming will be required to get Norton 360 to properly work with Catalina; meanwhile, I guess I'll be looking for other alternatives.
