Interaction with Google Family Link

I previously used Google Family Link on my childrens' devices. I needed more functionality, so I have installed Norton Family. It is unclear, though, whether Norton Family actually just uses Family Link to implement the policies, or whether the two are completely independent. I am seeing cases where Norton Family seems to be in conflict with Family Link. Do I need to "undo" all the Family Link settings? Do I need to disable Family Link so it does not interfere with Norton Family? I cannot find any documentation on the interaction between Norton Family and Google Family Link.
