Gas Fee
Why have the gas fees been so high the last 2 weeks? This morning it was up at $19.00.

Gas fees are calculated and controlled by the Ethereum network. There are some very technical articles on how it is calculated, but from a high level its based on the network traffic (number of transactions happening), the number of miners across the network and the current difficulty level.
