Can't paste password

I am trying to unlock my Norton Vault by entering my password.  I have a strong password with 16 characters, alphanumeric, etc.  I copied the password onto my clipboard, but Norton will not allow me to paste it. 

BTW, I can unlock my vault using my phone, but I don't have my phone at the moment.  

I don't want to type in the password manually. 

One alternative for me is to change my password to one that is easy to type in.  But is Norton encouraging its users to adopt easy password to use on their apps?  This is philosophically wrong.

The other alternative is to scrap my use of Norton vault altogether and to just use my other password manager.  

I like the convenience of Norton's vault, but I dislike the inconvenience of how I have to manually type in my password to open it.  

PLEASE, Norton, allow your users to type in passwords to unlock any of your features.

Hi JojoUichanco,

Not sure if this will help but once you're sure you have copied your PW to the clipboard (test by pasting in a blank notepad), then try clicking where you'd normally enter the PW once so the cursor is there and then using the Ctrl + v keys.

Note, entering a PW by copying and pasting is not a secure way to enter them as there are ways for malicious sites to access the contents of your clipboard.

Sorry, but this is not a solution. 
This is precisely the scenario that I have attempting all along.  I get to the login screen of the Norton Vault where it asks me to "Unlock your vault" with my password.  Ctrl-V has no effect.

Maybe, Ctrl-V does not work with "Enter your vault password" because "Get started with email" and "Sign In" pages are websites and "Unlock your vault" is extension html page?

Edit: Nope, that's not the reason.  Ctrl-V works on Norton Home Page extension page.  

Maybe,  Ctrl-V does not work with "Enter your vault password" because the field is protected?

I am having the same difficulty.  There needs to be a workaround for pasting the vault password in the vault password field.  If there is not, this is a serious defect.

It's not just unlocking a vault.  Yesterday I tried to update by bank's login credentials with my new fantastic 24-character password.  I cannot paste it into the slot for that monitored institution.

Are you referring to updating the Password field with Norton Password Manager?
Paste or Ctrl V works for me with the Password field.

You're providing Norton/LifeLock with your bank account "new 24-character password".
Respectfully,....why?  Norton/LifeLock needs your bank account password?    Yikes!

My bank alerts me based on my alert preferences sans Norton/LifeLock.

Norton/Lifelock provides the feature of transaction monitoring in bank & credit card accounts.  In order to read the transactions, it has to access the accounts just like I do, by providing login credentials to the accounts website.  One of the credentials is a password.  In my case it is long and complicated.  Norton will allow me to paste in my user-name, but it will not allow me to paste the password.

The monthly fee I pay includes the monitoring and the password keeper (which I don't use) and many other features.  From this discussion, I suspect that all features requiring a password behave similarly.

Sorry, I'm not able to comment regarding "transaction monitoring in bank & credit card accounts" will not allow you to paste the password.   By my experience...some fields allow paste, some do not.  If you've allowed all Norton pages content and your institution is supported and paste is still not do-able.  Maybe, paste is not allowed.   

Maybe, ask Norton Official Support -> Member Services and Support.
