I keep getting the Norton "Security Request - Restart Requested

I keep getting the Norton "Security Request  - Restart Requested - Your computer must restart to continue ... "   I often get it within two minutes of a previous request and restart.  Why doesn't one restart do the job?  Is the software faulty?

All I get is the pop-up that I copied attached to the original email.  I have gotten it twice since I emailed you.  I sometimes restart and sometimes ignore the message.  What should I do?

Please tell us what Norton is telling you regarding this event.  
Look in Security History -> Quarantine or Resolved / Unresolved Security Risks. 
For information regarding this event > from Norton pop-up > View Details > Copy to Clipboard &or from Norton history > More Options > Copy to Clipboard > paste here.

Try clearing your Norton -> Security History and Restart (not Shut down) machine. 

Run Full Scan with Norton and Threat Scan with Malwarebytes.

Please post back progress.  If no joy.

Maybe, your browser sync is reintroducing something.

As it is a security related issue, I would not ignore it. Are you restarting by clicking on the button in the message? Or are you just restarting Windows yourself? If doing it yourself, be sure you are using the Restart option, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. When getting this message, it can take a couple of restarts to fully resolve the issue.
