Software Updater reports an available version which doesn't exist

Software updater tells me there's a new version of Netgear Netgenie 2.5

But I've not been able to find that version exists. Netgear shows 2.4.40 to be latest.

Genie is no longer being supported by Netgear. They have decided that the NightHawk app is what you should be using instead with similar functions and router controls.

It does not surprise me that Norton Software Updater has wrong version info.

Unfortunately the NightHawk app doesn't support my router.

In that case you can stick with the Genie but it will never be updated by Netgear. So you should exclude that program from the Norton Software Updater.

Also if your router is more than 5 years old you might consider a new one which might provide more security protection as well as more stable and strong wifi. When I updated my router I got a big boost in signal strength.

I have the same problem with Zoom reporting latest version as 5.10.6 when the latest version available is 5.10.4 (5305) to UK. Release notes for Windows – Zoom Support .

Poor performance given the price charged for the product.
