I have just got a new PC, it had another protection system so I installed the free BT Norton to get started.
I now want to switch over to own subscription which still has some unused licences but can't see how?
I also want to get rid of the nagging message to enable Norton home page etc but I cannot see a way.

Maybe, Norton Remove and Reinstall tool -> Advanced Options - Remove Only works on Norton from BT.

Turn off Windows Fast Startup. W10 [here] W11 [here]
Download and run Norton Remove and Reinstall tool [here] from Windows admin user account.
Run Norton Remove and Reinstall tool -> Advanced Options -> Remove Only
Clear out Norton remnants [here] before fresh install.

Are you asking about Norton Home Page browser extension?
Maybe, disable/remove Norton Home Page extension?

I have used the Norton uninstaller in the past but seems a lot of trouble when I would have though I just need to log out of the BT account and log on using my accoun but perhaps not that simple.
Will have a try in the,morning.
Though considering switching to something else because of the way Norton keeps advising of things then telling me that I need to pay to be able to fix it.

I imagine switching from Norton from BT license to your Norton license requires clean install.
IDK for sure. Sorry, I'm not BT nor Norton from BT familiar.
We're my machine/s. I'd uninstall Norton from BT and scour remnants -> clean install Norton from my Norton account. After clean install. Run Norton LiveUpdate until no updates + machine Restart (not Shut down). Repeat. Repeat.
