VPN connection no longer works inside VMware Fusion's guest OS

It was working before but maybe Norton recently rolled out an update. When am connected to VPN on macOS, there's no VPN connection in Fusion's guest operating system. I just noticed this recently as the guest OS Ubuntu in Fusion shows my real IP address but in macOS it shows my VPN connected IP address. Can we expect a fix for this issue any time soon?

My spec:

16-inch Intel Core i9 MacBook Pro

Norton 360 Premier (up-to-date)

macOS Monterey (up-to-date)

VMware Fusion 12.2.3

NVM, internet sharing -> Share with my Mac fixed this issue. Not sure how it changed?
