Norton keeps telling me there is suspicious activity on my wifi

Norton  keeps telling me there is suspicious activity on my wifi so it puts vpn on my IPhone.  I dont understand what this really means as it doesnt happen on my laptop or ipad.  I had a new router installed recently.

What router did you install? If it has any VPN or extra security options, try turning them off to see if your iPhone still detects suspicious activity.
