Bing Searches Do Not Work

Starting recently, I have been unable to carry out searches with Bing in Microsoft Edge. Every search attempt gets the following messages:

Hmmm… can't reach this page

It looks like the webpage at https : // www . getsearchredirectin g .com/4556?crx=mfkdpncdgndakidfnokjooj nfjifiepj&q=5g%20phones might be having issues or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED

and, from Norton:

Norton blocked an attack by: Malicious Site: Malicious Domain Request 22.

I can make Bing searches in Google and Opera, but want to be able to make them in Edge. What is causing the problem, and how can I fix it?

Thank you so much. I have followed your recommendations and - while I cannot identify the particular cause of the problem - it is now resolved. I took the opportunity to remove a number of apps that I have not used for a long time.

Did you recently install any program/s &or browser extension/s?
Did you recently allow Push Notifications?
Did you recently change website Permissions?
Do you run browser Sync?

Thank you so much. I have followed your recommendations and - while I cannot identify specifically the item that was causing the problem - the issue is now resolved. I took the opportunity to remove a number of unused apps identified while scanning for a potential malignant one.
