Windows 11 Memory Integrity

Hello.  Should Windows 11 core Isolation / Memory Integrity be on or off with Norton 360?  I noticed it was off a few days ago and found two old drivers that had to be removed.  I turned on Memory Integrity and thought I should check to see if it should be on or off.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Windows 11 Memory Integrity

Hi bc596:

See the section titled "Memory Integrity" in the MS support article Core Integrity, which states in part:

Memory integrity, also known as Hypervisor-protected Code Integrity (HVCI) is a Windows security feature that makes it difficult for malicious programs to use low-level drivers to hijack your computer....In most cases memory integrity is on by default in Windows 11, and can be turned on for Windows 10...To use memory integrity, you must have hardware virtualization enabled in your system’s UEFI or BIOS.

Important: For safety we recommend having memory integrity turned on.

As noted in that support article, Memory Integrity is typically turned ON by default on Win 11 computers and turned OFF by default on Win 10 computers.
