product activation code that come with NU15 too short for new norton product activation code system - will 'disappear' in less than 30 days. comes with three 'installs', but now only three 30 days? been using NU since win3.11 (doss5) - disappointed :-<

contacted norton who just wants to 'give' me lifelock (and make money off me for yearly subscriptions for something I don't need or want...) - they were unable to get me activated thru tech help - even supervisor clueless... "we'll check into it and get back to you" they say, but meanwhile the prospect is bleak for my NU15 and win7.
Anyone know of a hack to get past the activation monKEY for something they apparently don't really care about? If they cared about we 'legacy' users, there'd be support for their older products and customers. But there's not. Just move on to newer gullible users...
Had same problem with HP who bought out compaq - they bought compaq just to snare unwitting users - solution for that? Trashed microslop windoz and installed linux on my compaq and who cares about drivers, etc.
Older NU for my win98, win3.11, doss, etc. never needed 'activation', so never any problem - just wouldn't work on newer OS's - but still doing fine on my older machines running PSK-31, autocad, hydraulic calculations, fire dynamic simulator, etc. - - - - - - - - - - - I'm rambling ;-)

IMA that Windows 7 has also become unsupported by Microsoft as well.

Hello major. Just a friendly point of advice regarding downloading KeyGen's and cracked software. If, you are using other Norton products and become infected due to downloading those, Norton may not be inclined to accept responsibility. Add to that pain the issue of running an OS that is no longer supported by its OEM. Norton Utilities 15 is also no longer supported, with the activation servers having been taken down long ago. Support for legacy products doesn't continue forever as we all are astutely aware of. Please, by all means, take the time and patience to get the product activated through the correct channels. At times there ARE those at support who are not knowledgeable in certain areas, persistence is the key to finding someone who IS, so continue that scenario. You should have better outcome in the end.

Hello there, I do agree on the risk of using cracked software for bypassing this. Downloading options for those are available at many sources on the web and each may contain a different way to infect your system.
So, if you are that eager and still want to be secure then do find another fix instead of using keygen's or other cracked software. If possible just upgrade your system requirement and use older versions like win98, win3.11, doss, etc on the virtual machine. Give it a try and let me know your response.

Just making sure that major understands they can get this activated by contacting Norton support. Others have successfully done so in the past. Patience and getting the right support person is the key.
